A Thank you from Holly

Thank You

Thanks to the incredible generosity of friends of FLA, Holly had a successful cherry eye surgery and she was adopted shortly thereafter. Holly's warm, brown eyes were shining soon after the surgery that permanently removed the cherry eye. Then, a woman came across Holly's story online. She had been searching for a comparison dog for herself and her husband, who lives in an assisted-living facility. After reading about Holly's gentle and quite demeanor, and falling for that darling face, the woman contacted FLA about setting up a meet-and-greet. She wanted a dog who would keep her company in the hours she was away from her husband and also provide friendship to her husband in the hospital. It was a perfect match. Holly is very happy in her new home being doted on by her mom. Everyday, she gets a special treat - hours of petting and attention - when she sees her dad during visiting hours. Holly snuggles on the bed and contentedly becomes the center of this couple's world. In between naps and daydreams, Holly looks up at her family with those bright, brown eyes as if to say, "Thank you." Thanks again to everyone who donated!
